My Vision If Elected 2nd Vice Chair

Tonight, February 10th, at 6:00 pm, at the Haywood County Republican Party Headquarters, I will be running for the position of 2nd Vice Chair. I am running for this position because I believe our county party can do more to secure victories in the upcoming midterm elections. Winning these elections is critical to shaping the future of our community and protecting the values we hold dear.

I bring skills and experience that can help our party move beyond defense and take the fight to the opposition.

Too often, we, as a party, find ourselves reacting to our Socialist-Democrat opponents instead of setting the agenda. This approach puts us on the back foot and limits our ability to control the narrative. To win, we must go on the offense, and we must have the willingness of Haywood County Republicans to sacrifice time and hard work to help us achieve this goal.

That means together, we must:

  • Evaluate our current strategies to identify what is working and where we fall short.

  • Craft clear, compelling messages that explain why it is crucial to prevent socialist Democrat Party wins in our county.

  • Speak out boldly and clearly to spread these messages without hesitation.

By taking the initiative, we can energize our supporters and make a stronger impression on undecided voters. Again, to achieve this goal, we need you to make the crucial decision to no longer stand on the sidelines but to become involved and engaged.

Voters respond best to messages they can understand quickly and remember easily. Our communication must focus on:

  • The risks posed by socialist policies to our local economy, schools, and public safety.

  • The benefits of conservative leadership in promoting personal freedom, economic growth, and community values.

  • Why every vote matters in keeping Haywood County on the right path.

Winning requires more than just talking to those who already support us. We must:

  • Motivate our base to turn out in large numbers.

  • Reach out to undecided voters by addressing their concerns and showing how our vision benefits everyone.

This means going beyond traditional town halls and meet-and-greets. We need to be present to speak about our vision for our country, where people gather naturally, such as community groups, churches, and local conservative organizations. We need volunteers who attend such gatherings to help us obtain invitations to speak at their meetings.

The county Republican Party runs on the energy and dedication of volunteers. To succeed, we must:

  • Recruit individuals who have thought of getting involved to actually get involved.

  • Recruit volunteers willing to commit time and effort with like-minded Republicans.

  • Assure them that they will receive the training and support they need to feel confident and effective.

  • Recognize and celebrate volunteer contributions to keep morale high.

Volunteers are the backbone of the Haywood County Republican Party. Their work, whether volunteering to work in the Headquarters office, serving on critical committees, manning booths at events, going door-to-door, or working phone banks, makes a real difference in voter turnout. We must sit down with potential volunteers and explain this fact clearly and passionately.

However, to succeed, we need resources to reach voters effectively. We must:

  • Launch fundraising drives.

  • Meet with local Republican business owners to solicit donations, preferably recurring monthly donations.

  • Encourage small donations from many supporters to build a broad base.

With sufficient funding, we can invest in targeted advertising, campaign materials, and outreach programs that increase our visibility and influence.

Relying solely on town halls and meet-and-greets limits our reach. Instead, we must:

  • Seek invitations to speak at community gatherings, church meetings, and local conservative groups.

  • Use these opportunities to share our message directly with engaged audiences.

  • Build relationships with community leaders who can amplify our message.

This proactive approach will help us connect with voters in familiar settings and show that we are listening and involved in their daily lives.

I want to be part of the team that drives these changes. My goal is to help Haywood County Republicans win by:

  • Leading efforts to evaluate and improve our campaign strategies.

  • Supporting message development that resonates with voters.

  • Coordinating volunteer recruitment and fundraising.

  • Expanding our presence in the community through active outreach.

Together, I believe we can build a stronger, more effective county party that not only defends our values but advances them.
