Primary Elections Information - Vote Vote Vote

Primary elections are set to begin in just three days, marking a critical moment for Republican voters. With early voting starting on February 12 and Election Day on March 3, the choices made during this period will shape the political landscape for years to come.

Primary elections are a vital mechanism of democracy, allowing voters to choose candidates who best reflect their values and priorities. For Republicans, this means selecting strong conservative candidates who can secure victories against Democratic opponents in the midterms.

The 2026 midterm elections will influence key policy areas, including education, healthcare, the economy, and national security. Candidates elected during this cycle will make decisions that affect everyday life. By participating in primaries, Republican voters have a direct impact on the party’s direction and the country’s future.

Early Voting Locations and Times

To make voting accessible, early voting will be available from 8:00 am to 7:30 pm at the following locations:

  • Haywood County Senior Resource Center

81 Elmwood Way, Waynesville, NC 28786

  • Canton Public Library

11 Pennsylvania Ave, Canton, NC 28716

  • Clyde Town Hall

8437 Carolina Blvd, Clyde, NC 28721

On Election Day, March 3rd, voters will cast their ballots at their designated precincts between 6:30 am and 7:30 pm. Photo identification is mandatory.

Republican voter participation in primaries is essential for several reasons:

  • Choosing Candidates Who Can Win:  Primaries allow voters to select candidates with the best chance of winning in the general election. This is crucial for maintaining or increasing Republican majorities in the House and Senate.

  • Shaping Party Policies: The candidates chosen in the primaries influence the party’s stance on important issues. Active participation ensures that the party reflects the values and priorities of its base.

  • Impacting National Decisions: Republican candidates elected in 2026 will make policy decisions affecting education, healthcare, the economy, and national security. Voter involvement in primaries helps ensure these decisions align with conservative principles.

Some may underestimate the significance of the 2026 midterms, but these elections will determine whether President Trump's America First agenda, as mandated by his landslide victory, is implemented or stalled in a divided Congress. The decisions made by those elected in the midterms will have a lasting impact on governance and policy. Republicans must retain control of the House and Senate and ideally increase their majority to effectively influence legislation.

The midterms will determine how the country addresses critical challenges, from economic growth to national defense. By voting in the primaries, Republican voters help ensure that strong, winnable candidates who share their vision and commitment to conservative values advance to the midterm general elections.

This is your opportunity to have your voice heard, but it can only be heard if you vote. Contrary to popular belief, every single vote does matter and can make the difference between electing strong Republican candidates or watching as socialist Democrats once again assume power, which will mark the beginning of the end of our Constitutional Republic.
