The Threat of Socialism to America's Constitutional Republic

Haywood County & Socialism


Our nation faces a critical challenge from a radically changed Democratic Party. The  Democratic Party has profoundly bastardized the vision of America’s Founding Fathers, which was to establish a Constitutional Republic governed by laws that protect individual freedoms, promote justice, and ensure the safety of its citizens.


The socialist Democratic Party and mainstream media will have you believe that our Constitution states that people, all people, who in their minds include illegal immigrants residing in the United States, are citizens of the United States and therefore are subject to the rights and protections of the Constitution.



However, Section 1 of the 14th Amendment, which addresses the Rights Guaranteed, the Privileges and Immunities of Citizenship, Due Process, and Equal Protection given to the citizens of the United States, clearly defines who is a citizen of the United States and therefore has constitutional rights:


1: All persons born or naturalized in the United States, and subject to the jurisdiction

thereof, are citizens of the United States and of the State wherein they reside. 


Nowhere in the Constitution do the terms illegal immigrant, undocumented immigrant, illegal alien, or undocumented alien appear, stating or implying that such individuals fall under the definition of a citizen as provided in the 14th Amendment, Section 1. Nor does it state that "All people in the United States, ......" are citizens.


Today, the Founding Fathers' vision is under serious threat by the socialist Democratic Party, which turns a blind eye to the 14th Amendment and refuses to acknowledge that the government's first and primary role is to protect the safety and well-being of legal citizens of the United States. This fact was clearly demonstrated during the State of the Union, when President Trump asked the members of Congress in attendance to stand if they believed that the government's primary role is to protect the safety and well-being of legal citizens. Not a single Democrat stood up.



The Republican Party firmly stands behind our Founding Fathers' vision, advocating for a form of governance that respects constitutional limits, individual liberties, and the government's role in protecting the rights of legal citizens. In contrast, the Democratic Party has increasingly embraced socialist ideologies. This ideological shift by the Democratic Party challenges the Constitution's core principles.


The divisions in our nation are painful, but passivity only allows socialist Democrats' harmful changes to take root. We, the constitutional citizens of our Nation, must move beyond complaining and become active participants in our governance. Voting for Republicans, volunteering at Republican Party offices and events, attending Republican town halls, and communicating with elected officials are ways to influence policy and leadership.


The future of America’s Constitutional Republic depends on the choices we make in the upcoming midterm elections. The threat posed by socialism is real and demands awareness and action. By embracing our nation's founding principles, actively participating in the political process, and voting for Republican candidates, Haywood County citizens can help steer the nation back toward the vision of liberty, justice, and law and order.
