The Curious Case of Cory Vallincourt's Obsession with Commissioner Ramey

Vallincourt, Ramey & Me
An article in the February 4th issue of the Haywood County Tabloid, Smoky Mountain News, written by "Fake News" want-to-be journalist Cory Vallincourt, included a section addressing a blog post I published regarding Commissioner Terry Ramey and his Haywood County property tax status.

Although it may be, in my opinion, intellectually challenging for Mr. Vallincourt to understand that, regardless of who paid Commissioner Ramey’s taxes, they ARE paid, and his tax records indicate that he is in good standing at this time.
It may be further challenging, in my opinion, for Mr. Vallincourt to understand that, although the tax payment agreement states that “the undersigned Haywood County property taxpayer acknowledges an obligation to pay the delinquent taxes,” it does not state nor require that those taxes be paid by the property owner personally, nor is there any legal requirement, that I am aware of, requiring the County Tax Collector to reject any payment made anonymously on behalf of another individual who owes taxes on their property.
He notes in his article that I wrote in my blog post, "enough already about Ramey and his non-existent unpaid property taxes." A quote that appears to be the only accurate and truthful statement in his article, and holds true.
This particular article, and quite frankly, the vast majority of Mr. Vallincourt’s articles, are self-serving, biased, partisan, and vindictive in nature. Mr. Vallincourt is a prime example of “Fake News” and journalism at its very worst.
I invite Mr. Vallincourt to cite the county and/or state statute that supports his claim that Commissioner Ramey’s property taxes must be paid by him personally and cannot be paid by a generous anonymous individual.
Vallincourt’s obsession with Ramey’s tax status is beyond concerning at this point, indicating that Mr Vallincourt may be suffering from a new diagnosis: RDS: Ramey Derangement Syndrome, suggesting that Mr. Vallincourt may need to seek professional help to overcome this obsession.
However, on a positive note, I would like to thank Mr. Vallincourt for the free publicity to my blog site and the great honor and privilege of being mentioned in a newspaper, if you can call the Smoky Mountain News a newspaper, associating me with two of Haywood County’s most appreciated and respected advocates for the people of Haywood County.
Keep up the great work, Mr. Vallincourt, the radical anti-American socialist of Haywood County appreciates the garbage you write.
