Hello Haywood County,

My name is Tiffany Collins, and I am running for Haywood County Commissioner because I believe local government must always prioritize its residents over politics and personal agendas.

I’m not a career politician, but I offer something more valuable: integrity, honesty, accountability, and efficiency. Before starting my campaign, I didn’t hire consultants or spend money on pollsters; I went straight to the people. I conducted my own survey and listened to residents in Haywood County. Even though I wasn’t born and raised here, I care about this county because I’ve seen firsthand that being local doesn’t automatically mean you’ll put Haywood County residents first.

By listening to the residents of our community, I’ve heard clearly what they want changed.

“Give us clear, plain-language updates, not hidden details.”

“Let the public see spending before decisions are made.”

“No more backroom deals, bundled bills, or pet projects.”

“We want term limits; end officials staying in office for decades.”

“Stop letting developers run the show.”

“Protect our farmland and open space.”

“Give us audits, reports, and real transparency.”

“We need new people in local elected offices.”

People are losing trust in local leadership because they feel ignored, dismissed, and left out of decisions that impact their lives. The residents of Haywood County deserve a government that listens, acts transparently, and uses every tax dollar wisely.

Sometimes, a fresh perspective is needed to notice what has been missed. We’ve had the same leadership for many years, and while experience is important, it must go hand in hand with accountability and real progress. Public office should always prioritize the community over personal interests.

I’m running because I believe in Haywood County and that I can offer its citizens common-sense leadership that will help our residents achieve prosperity in a safe environment. I want to be your voice and represent you—the people.

I believe in people-first decision-making. Every issue I support will be guided by one simple question: Is this proposal in the best interest of the citizens of Haywood County?

As someone who is studying business, I recognize that growth is inevitable, but it must be sustainable. Growth must align with existing infrastructure: schools, the job market, and environmental concerns must not be allowed to outpace it. We cannot chase short-term profits while leaving long-term burdens on our residents.

Growth that ignores our roads, schools, housing, and workforce isn’t progress; it’s chaos. I believe we can embrace new opportunities without sacrificing the small-town charm and natural beauty that make Haywood County special.

And most importantly, I will never forget that behind every dollar spent is a hardworking citizen, just as one resident reminded me.

I’m running because Haywood County's residents desire change, and change is what I have to offer. If that’s you, please support my election this coming March!

Together, we can rebuild trust in our local government, ensure growth benefits us, and restore accountability in our county government.
