"The Informed Citizen" encourages citizens to become engaged in the governance of our Haywood County and our nation by actively volunteering and attending local meetings​, such as the Haywood County Board of Commissioners, the Haywood County Board of Elections, the Haywood County School Board, and as well as the monthly meetings held by the Waynesville, Canton, Maggie Valley, and Clyde General Assemblies, to understand the actions being taken by these entities.
