Yesterday evening, I attended the funeral of the Haywood County Republican Party, once a proud and honored organization and a good friend.

During the funeral process, it occurred to me that I had never been to a funeral where the list of, in my opinion, failed and incompetent leaders and their handlers was so overwhelming. Perhaps a better word would be embarrassing.

A meeting that even a funeral would have brought more inspiration and pride. A meeting that Chairman Loomis had in his campaign for the Chair’s position ensured that if elected, he would keep to within twenty minutes. After ninety minutes of pure Robert’s Rules of Order stumbling and boredom, one was left with the deep wish that his promise made could have been promise kept.

The only uplifting moment was the updating of the progress being made on the June 14th, The Red Surge’s presentation of “The Celebrating of the American Spirit.” At least there was this one positive moment in those ninety minutes of grief.

The eulogy definitely did not remind us of the need to work hard, build a victorious County Republican Party, or be a proactive, positive, and energetic one. Nor was it a reminder to the grievers that our mission and purpose were to elect strong Christian conservative Republicans.

You may be asking, “What does this have to do with the future of the HCGOP?”  I would say everything. Michael Loomis proved beyond a shadow of doubt what I have been saying all along. He is not qualified, nor does he have the personality to lead any organization of any size. He was dead on arrival, and unfortunately for the HCGOP, it is my opinion that he, and his handlers, the Carr’s, will drag the HCGOP down to the grave with him.

He, Vickie Reece, and the Carr’s, in my opinion, exemplify the total lack of all of the values that we Christian conservative MAGA Republicans believe in and fight for as MAGA conservatives.

Rest In Peace!

Same meeting just different perspectives. If you're good with mediocre leadership who stumbles through his own printed agenda and says nothing regarding his vision or strategies for the HCGOP to inspire and encourage members to do more, than it was a good performance. Me, I expect a lot more from anyone who holds the Chair of any organization that so greatly impacts the lives of the citizens within the County.
