“Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.”
Our Forefathers deemed the right to the freedom of religion, freedom of speech, freedom to assembly and freedom to protest, so important to the new Republic, that they made these God given rights a part of the First Amendment to the Bill of Rights. God given rights denied them under English rule.
Over the past two years, our federal government has openly abused and outrightly ignored this Amendment through loopholes, scare tactics, unconstitutional mandates, and unreasonable punishment. All to intimidate “We the People” from exercising our right to freedom of speech, freedom of religion, and freedom to assemble.
Over these past two years “We the People” have been censored on most social media platforms from speaking freely against an oppressive government, about school children abuse in learning material, library books, sexual identity and perverted alternate sexual performances and reading hour.
Schools and businesses were closed under the pretense of a COVID epidemic. School children lost valuable learning and social interaction time necessary to develop a health learning experience and small businesses were shut down never to recover and reopen. Abuses suppressed by major news outlets and media from sharing this information to the general public.
Suppressed at the encouragement, request, and direction of the federal government. Banned from speaking out the truth because the truth does not fit the Democrat Marxist-Communist party’s narrative.
Parents of school children who have spoken out at school Boards of Education meetings, questioning what their children were being exposed to and taught, were branded domestic terrorist by the Department of Justice and targeted by the FBI. All for exercising their right to free speech and expression of thought.
We still have American citizens unconstitutionally imprisoned without being charged or being charged with trumped-up infringements, without their Constitutional right to reasonable bail and a speedy trail.
Why? Because they exercised their right to assemble and peaceably protest their grievances. Imprisoned because a very few of the thousands of protesters entered the Peoples House and disrupting congressional proceedings. All these American citizens were falsely accused of insurrection for the political propaganda benefit of the Democrat Socialist-Communist party.
It is my sincere hope that the Delegates to the Convention of States being promoted by the Convention of States Action movement, (https://conventionofstatesaction) will have the foresight and wisdom to add at the very beginning of the First Amendment “Under no circumstances.”
These three simple words will clarify this Amendment ending any potential future manipulation or abuse of this Amendment for any political control, gain, or expediency.
This addition should be included under the purposed Amendment restricting federal jurisdiction.
