The House Judiciary Committee has released a report addressing their findings regarding government, universities, and social media collaboration to influence and restrict American citizens’ speech leading up to the 2020 presidential election.
The report disclosed communications indicating that the Department of Homeland Security coordinated the establishment of a “disinformation” unit, Election Integrity Partnership, at Stanford University. The initiative was tasked with influencing and restricting American speech on social media leading up to the 2020 presidential election.
The report confirms that DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency worked with Stanford University as well as other universities and big tech companies to identify, suppress, and delete specific online content. Jim Jordan, who chairs the House Judiciary Committee, stressed how the communications the committee had reviewed revealed that the federal government and various universities had placed pressure on social media platforms to censor content, information, and political opinions.
This pressure to restrict American speech was targeted against Conservative and Republican posts and tagged as “misinformation,” while false information from liberals and Democrats was not touched or reported by moderators.
The report further indicated that the committee was in possession of a July 31, 2020, email sent by a senior director at the Digital Forensic Research Lab, a partner of Election Integrity Partnership, which outlined the role DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency would play in this censorship campaign. That role was to utilize DHS’ Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency’s “switchboarding” process to forward federal government requests from state and local election officials to social media platforms for content removal.
It is deeply concerning that America has slipped into a third world banana state with our freedoms and liberties, as guaranteed by the Constitution, being trampled upon. Both the first and second Amendments are being constantly attacked by the current Marxist-Communist Democrat regime.
