From Embracing Slavery to Embracing Socialism-Communism

The political environment in the United States has changed significantly, especially within the Democrat Party. Raised in a staunch Democrat family, I was a firm supporter of the party until I turned 42, during Bill Clinton's second term. I had been in Washington, D.C. for about five years in a federal senior management position, which required me to work with members of Congress and White House staff. It was working closely with them that I began to see the extent to which my Party had drifted away from constitutional conservatism towards socialism.

This advocating for socialism did not align with my Judeo-Christian constitutional conservative values. While the Republican Party had its flaws, particularly outside Ronald Reagan's presidency, it did not advocate socialist ideas. Although they struggled internally, they were strong supporters of constitutional conservatism. In 1997, I changed my party affiliation from Democrat to Republican, and that year began to be a very active political constitutional advocate, writing articles and actively participating in political rallies.

Doing research for my articles back then, I learned about the very troubling history of the Democratic Party. What I learned was shocking as I began to realize that the Democrat Party was rooted in slavery and racism, associated with organizations like the Ku Klux Klan and the implementation of Jim Crow laws. For instance, around 1890, more than 85% of African Americans lived in the South, where the Democrats enforced segregation laws that deprived Black citizens of their rights. I further learned that liberalism was introduced by leaders like Woodrow Wilson and Franklin D. Roosevelt, who shifted the party toward centralized power, paving the way for programs such as the welfare state under Lyndon B. Johnson's Great Society.

Today, it is clear that the Democrat Party has openly embraced socialism. Figures such as Bernie Sanders, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, Cori Bush, and Rashida Tlaib represent a significant ideological shift. Sanders' "Medicare for All" proposal aims to create a single-payer healthcare system that could cost taxpayers an estimated $32 trillion over a decade. Now we have an open socialist-communist Muslim Democrat, Zohran Mamdani, on the verge of becoming the next mayor of New York City, who promises to turn New York City into a communist haven, set to completely depart from our Constitutional heritage and traditions as envisioned by our Founding Fathers. This marks a move toward increased government control over individual lives and challenges American capitalism and freedoms.

Since the 1960s, the Democratic Party has gained control over mainstream news outlets and American educational institutions. This influence has enabled them to shape narratives and significantly influence public opinion, beginning with our children in federally funded schools. Under President Obama, the party further evolved by adopting various Marxist ideologies, appealing to a diverse base that now includes not just elderly boomers but also illegal immigrants, Antifa members, and other openly anti-American activist groups.

The traditional moderate stance of the Democrat Party has long ago faded away. Today, the Democrat Party is in a downward spiral, losing complete touch with the ideals that once defined it.

One concerning aspect of this development is the complete lack of historical awareness among most Democrats. Recent surveys show that only 28% of Americans realize that the Democrat Party once supported slavery. This lack of understanding fuels a dangerous cycle where lessons from history are forgotten, increasing the risk of repeating the same mistakes.

The evolution of the Democrat Party from its evil roots in slavery to its current support of the evil that comes with socialism raises urgent questions about the values the Democrat Party stands for and its continuing evolution.

For someone presenting themselves as informed in politics and history, you've made an exceptional effort overlooking the seismic shift of political alignment during the late 1960s and 1970s. You can clearly trace millions of voters who followed the JFK-LBJ-Wallace Southern voters of the 1960s who made up the core of the Reagan Revolution in the 1980s. This country hasn't been defined by strict political alignment over decades, but more the alignment of rural Conservative voters and urban liberal voters who completely swapped party alignment since the 1950s.

You aren't wrong about the Democratic party embracing more socialist ideas than ever before, but completely torch your credibility when you try linking it to the embrace of segregation from 60+ years ago.…
