Is Socialism the Path for Haywood County's Future?

Socialist policies advocated by elected Democrat officials and RINO Republicans in Haywood County and its municipalities claim to help the poor by providing financial assistance and social programs. While these efforts may offer short-term relief, they rarely create long-term prosperity. Instead, cities and states governed by socialist or social-democratic leaders have struggled with stagnant economies and rising crime rates. The municipalities in Haywood County are certainly not immune to these negative socialist policy impacts, which include:

• Limited economic growth: Heavy regulation and high taxes discourage business investment and job creation.

• Dependency on government aid: Providing small monthly stipends or food assistance can create reliance rather than independence.

• Reduced individual incentives: When rewards for hard work and innovation are limited, motivation to improve one’s situation declines.

One of the primary roles of the Haywood County and county municipality government is to ensure the safety of its citizens. Yet, Haywood County communities run by socialist democrats and RINO elected officials fail to prioritize protecting law-abiding residents. This approach leads to:

• Increased crime rates: Policies that reduce police funding or limit law enforcement powers often correlate with higher violent crime.

• Erosion of community trust: When citizens feel unsafe, social cohesion weakens, and neighborhoods decline.

• Displacement of families: Fear of crime pushes families to move away, further damaging local economies.

The safety of Haywood County residents should never be compromised for political ideology. Unfortunately, socialist policies prioritize political correctness or social experiments over practical public safety measures. Not so with Christian Conservative Haywood County Commissioner candidates Tiffany Collins, Terry Ramey, District 11 State House candidate Adam Smith, or Haywood County Sheriff candidate Bill Wilke. These four Republican candidates are committed to working tirelessly to ensure that everything possible is done to help Haywood County residents be prosperous, safe, and that their freedoms are never compromised.

Haywood County Socialist-Democrat residents and elected officials, including Asheville radical socialists who have been infiltrating Haywood County with their destructive ideology, need to understand and accept the fact that socialism fails to deliver on its promises, always! Embracing socialism will result in loss of economic growth, loss of freedoms, increased crime, and widespread poverty. Examples of socialism include:

• Venezuela: Once a wealthy oil-producing nation, now suffering from hyperinflation, food shortages, and mass emigration.

• Soviet Union: Despite initial industrial growth, the system collapsed under economic inefficiency and political repression.

• Cuba: Decades of economic hardship and limited personal freedoms have marked the socialist regime.

  
  

Beyond economics and safety, socialism intersects with cultural and social issues. Some socialist policies promote ideas such as illegal immigrant protection, diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) initiatives, transgenderism, and non-gender-specific language. These initiatives result in:

• Unrestricted immigration policies that strain public resources and complicate social integration.

• Cultural shifts that challenge traditional values and social cohesion.

• Child mutualization that results in a lift of emotional trauma and instability.

Further, these changes create uncertainty about the future and contribute to instability for many families. This reality is no less true within Haywood County.

Many supporters of socialism rely on mainstream media and educational institutions for information. However, these sources act as propaganda tools as opposed to sources of reliable information, promoting a one-sided narrative that supports socialist agendas.

• Media bias: Selective reporting by local and national news outlets, including the Waynesville Mountaineer News and the Smoky Mountain News, that use sensational headlines that distort facts.

• Educational indoctrination: Curricula that emphasize certain political views may limit critical thinking.

• Political influence: Elected officials, influential figures, and organizations push agendas that benefit themselves rather than the public.

  
  

Recognizing these influences is crucial for making informed decisions at the ballot box. Further, understanding these dynamics underscores why Haywood County voters must support strong Christian Conservative candidates such as Tiffany Collins, Terry Ramey, Adam Smith, and Bill Wilke, to name just a few, in the March 2026 primaries.
