In 1967, Ronald Reagan delivered one of the most memorable lines of his career: “Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction. It must be fought for, protected, and handed on for our children to do the same.”
The truth of this statement appears to be raising its ugly head in light of the violent turmoil spreading across our nation. Turmoil being injected into the American society by a generation of mislead, misinformed and indoctrinated malcontents who are encouraged and funded by those who wish to see America brought down to its knees.
“Freedom is never more than one generation away from extinction.” Has America come to that junction in American history in which those warnings are becoming our reality. It is hard not to wonder if it is our generation that is allowing for the ending of our God given rights under a Constitutional Republic, America’s position as the greatest nation in the world, and as the last great hope for self-governance by, for, and of the people.
Republicans must unite as one committed party to win the 2024 presidential elections, otherwise we will be that generation which lost the God given freedoms granted under our Constitution.
We must all commit to working together, volunteer with the Haywood County Republican Party to spread our message of conservative values; donate to help fund our candidates' campaigns to assure victory; and most importantly, commit to voting early in the 2024 elections.
